Chef Emeril Lagasse Pairs "The Point"
Famous Chef Emeril Lagasse Pairs 2007 “The Point” Special Reserve Cuvee from Hearst Ranch Winery at the Central Coast Wine Classic held at Hearst Castle
Hearst Castle, San Simeon, CA - July 8, 2010 The Central Coast Wine Classic held from July 8 through July 11, 2010 celebrated its 26th annual event with a spectacular evening at Hearst Castle on Thursday, July 8, 2010. World renowned TV celebrity chef, author and restaurateur Emeril Lagasse was on hand to prepare the main course paired with the 2007 The Point Special Reserve Cuvee from Hearst Ranch Winery.
The Point is perhaps the most unique and powerful expression of Bordeaux varietals that the Paso Robles appellation has to offer. This wine wraps the aromas of blackberry, allspice, cassis, smoke around a hint of French and American Oak. It will improve for 3 to 7 years.
Since Emeril is a fan of this wine region and friends with many of the winemakers, he was delighted to be involved with the Central Coast Wine Classic. Over the past six years, the Central Coast Wine Classic Foundation has given over $1.5 million to 75 non-profit organizations in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties due to the generous support of the community and our world-class wineries and restaurants.
