2007 "The Point"
Special Reserve Cuvee

The Point Special Reserve Cuvee

Tasting Notes

"The Point" is perhaps the most unique and powerful expression of Bordeaux varieties that the Paso Robles appellation has to offer. With red hues dark as pitch, our 2007 release boasts aromas of blackberry, allspice, cassis, smoke, and hints of French and American oak. Initially, flavors of cherry pie and cola attack the palate and transition to raspberry driven mid-palate. Refreshing mid-palate acidity in harmony with red fruit and ripe tannin flavors in the finish allow “The Point” to pair a wide variety of meats and cheeses and will continue to improve for 3 to 7 years.

“The Point” should never be paired with weak cuisine. This wine sparkles when paired with Hearst Ranch New York or Hearst Ranch Ribeye steak topped with a Béchamel sauce and compliments lighter fair like manchego with chorizo and baguette.
